How big is the truck??

This is a subtitle for your new post

I get asked a lot about the trucks. We typically run 26-28' trucks. Many people can't pictures what that looks like. So in the industry they say that an average 1800 sq ft house will fit on an average 26' truck. Obviously there are a lot of variables involved.
We typically like to have an inventory so that we can estimate what volume we will have. That determines the size and/or amount of trucks you have. A 1 bedroom apartment will not normally even fill half a 26' truck whereas a 1500 sq ft house with outdoor, garage and basement items may need 2 trucks. So having an inventory available when you call for a price is very important. We can make generalizations and assumptions based on our vast experience, but it is always helpful to have an accurate inventory.
Having an inventory also helps to know what equipment is needed. If the house is under 1500 sq ft but has a tanning bed, hot tub, elliptical, baby grand piano and gun safe, there are tools and equipment as well as man power needed that would not necessarily be required without those specialty items. Some people purposefully leave those items out of their inventory so that they get a cheap quote. It is better to disclose those items so the movers are prepared. We never want to arrive unprepared or worse, attempt to move an item without the proper equipment and risk someone getting hurt.
When calling for a price, have an inventory ready and let us worry about the truck size! :)

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SCREWS FROM MY FURNITURE? Many times beds and other furniture items are assembled with screws or other hardware. We recommend that you have some sealable baggies available to put them in and label them per item (kind bed, queen bed, Mary's bed, Tommy's dresser mirror screws) and so forth.

DO YOU MOVE SAFES? I get this question a lot. And yes, we do. But we need to know a lot more about the safe than, "it's heavy"!! Make/brand Model Height Weight Depth Stairs at load address? Stairs at unload address? Going over grass at either address? Will it be empty? Does the door come off? Basically I need to know everything about it so that I can plan and have proper resources.
