Do you move in the cold? Snow?

This is a subtitle for your new post

Well as summer winds to an end and autumn sneaks in, we switch from dealing with heat to dealing with snow and cold. Not right away, but it's coming.
My first concern is always SAFETY!! No one needs to get hurt. So I need the walkways clear of ice and snow. If there is a chance that the movers can slip on the floor, then having something to prevent that is ideal.
If the roads are impassible, obviously we have to work through that. Trucks are big and heavy and while it's harder for them to get stuck, it's easy for someone to cut in front of them and slam on the breaks, looking for a payday. Trucks take longer to stop.
Rain is never fun to move in. Summer or winter - it sucks! Most of the time this decision is up to the shipper. We will move in the rain but can't be held responsible if your goods do get wet. Obviously we try to mitigate that. I tell people that I control a lot of things in my world, but the weather still isn't one of them! I never penalize a customer who cancels on the same day due to weather. So don't let that be your concern.
This is a partnership. :)

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SCREWS FROM MY FURNITURE? Many times beds and other furniture items are assembled with screws or other hardware. We recommend that you have some sealable baggies available to put them in and label them per item (kind bed, queen bed, Mary's bed, Tommy's dresser mirror screws) and so forth.

DO YOU MOVE SAFES? I get this question a lot. And yes, we do. But we need to know a lot more about the safe than, "it's heavy"!! Make/brand Model Height Weight Depth Stairs at load address? Stairs at unload address? Going over grass at either address? Will it be empty? Does the door come off? Basically I need to know everything about it so that I can plan and have proper resources.
