HOW DO I PROTECT MY FLOORS FROM DAMAGE?
We can't predict your flooring type, quality or durability. There are many flooring types from carpet, hardwoods, laminates, tiles and concrete.
Therefore it is the responsibility of the customer to prepare the floors for our arrival. If ordered in advance, we can provide flooring protection products at a charge.
Examples:
Carpet - this can be protected with carpet mask (the sticky plastic that rolls on) but depending on the traffic, this can wear out.
Tile - rarely needs to be protected. I have seen times when a 4000 lb safe was being moved that the tiles actually cracked under the weight of the safe. In this case, the building was ben renovated so no protection was used, but if the flooring needed protection, we would have put down plywood.
Hardwood - typically customers put down plywood or luan or brown paper. It depends on the size of the move and the items being moved.
Laminate - these are pretty durable flooring applications and rarely do customers feel the need to protect them. But if they do, it is usually treated like hardwood.
VCT - Vinyl composition tile is seen mostly in commercial properties. The same pattern is all the way through the tile. It is a very durable surface and rarely do customers protect this flooring but if they do, they protect it similar to hardwood and laminate.
Concrete - enough said!
There is a charge for carpet/floor mask depending upon the size of coverage needed and amount of materials used.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SCREWS FROM MY FURNITURE? Many times beds and other furniture items are assembled with screws or other hardware. We recommend that you have some sealable baggies available to put them in and label them per item (kind bed, queen bed, Mary's bed, Tommy's dresser mirror screws) and so forth.

DO YOU MOVE SAFES? I get this question a lot. And yes, we do. But we need to know a lot more about the safe than, "it's heavy"!! Make/brand Model Height Weight Depth Stairs at load address? Stairs at unload address? Going over grass at either address? Will it be empty? Does the door come off? Basically I need to know everything about it so that I can plan and have proper resources.
